More about me …
Although just 17 Kim Petras has already achieved a lot – and has found herself in the process! For this talented artist, music is not just a part of her life – it is her life. Ask her when she started singing – and she will tell you she has always been singing. Her mother is a choreographer and artist — her father a talented architect and her older sister also a singer. Music, like creativity, is in the air at the Petras family home. But Kim’s talents are not confined to singing — she writes all her own songs, edits and produces her own videos – designs her own fashion and even works as a model with photo shoots for national newspapers and beauty chains. But she can’t afford to take it easy – and knows that nothing worth having is easy to get. Her achievements to date have not been easy but have helped to make her the strong young woman that she is. Born with the heart and soul of a woman in a male body she has fought since almost as long as she can remember to make sure that her exterior matches her true inner self – fighting for the right to gender reassignment – she’s now a happy and vibrant teenage girl living life to the full just like any other attractive youngster of her age. Her past has made her what she is – and given her a wisdom and strength beyond her years – but also an appreciation of the value of what she has and who she is. Throughout her past Kim’s music has strengthened and supported her – one of her first songs ‘Fade Away’ was written in order to express her feelings and say farewell to her old life. Like a butterfly she emerged to become the new Kim and at the age of 15 was discovered by a music producer via Youtube, who went on to produce and released her first songs. Kim was also the power behind her first music video for her single “Die For You“ that she wrote, and helped to produce, direct and star in. And despite all her challenges since her first musical steps Kim has made giant strides in her music! Now she is producing her debut album with the producers of Bionic Ballroom (Michael Jackson, Ofra Haza, Thomas D) and delivers new demos she has composed herself to her team weekly. For fans there is a sneak preview of this exciting new work on her Youtube Videos, using an instrumental intro. As an artist with not a euro spent on promotion or other marketing she has notched up millions of visitors – with her personal myspace page along scoring a million without any friendadder systems. Her blog videos on her Youtube Channel (http://www.youtube.com/kimmilinlein) have scored thousands of hits often within hours of going live. Her channel already has more than 1 million hits, and hosting for her homepage is having to be upgraded because it is unable to handle the requests from everything from the media through to old fans and new fans eager to know more about this fascinating young woman. SternTV (RTL/ VOX, GER) are among those that have followed the career of is 17-year-old for the past three years, reporting about her history and musical career.
